"The timeline of XX century"

Vitamins

In 1912 the biochemist Casimir Funk proposed name vitamins, comes from the Latin word vita (life) and amine (amine necessary for life).
Thanks to this huge scientific effort today know well the thirteen essential vitamins in the dietVitamins are organic substances essential in the metabolic processes that take place in human nutrition. Do not provide energy, since it is not used as fuel, but without them the body is able to leverage the building blocks and energy supplied by food.

In Lamp of mercuric steam
In 1901, Peter Cooper Hewitt showed his lamp of mercury steam, which       emitted blue-green light, which was inappropriate for most practical applications. However, its design was very close to current lamps, besides having greater efficiency than similar incandescent. The fluorescent lamp, also known as fluorescent tube, is a fixture that has a mercury vapor lamp of low pressure that is normally used for domestic and industrial lighting. Its great advantage over other types of lamps such as incandescent lamps,   energy efficiency.

     Cracked gasoline or thermal cracking

Thermal cracking: thermal cracking process was developed in an effort to increase the yield of distillation. In this process, the parts heaviest crude is heated to high temperatures under pressure. This divides (Cracked) large hydrocarbon molecules into smaller molecules, which increases the amount of gasoline produced from a barrel of crude. The efficiency of the process is limited because, due to high temperatures and pressures, is deposited a large amount of solid fuel and the porous reactors. This, in turn, requires temperatures and pressures used even higher for cracking crude oil. Later he invented a process that is recirculated fluids, the process worked for a time much larger with accumulation of solid fuels much lower.

Penicillin

The penicillin discovered by Alexander Fleming in 1928, has saved millions of lives. Achieved success in the treatment of neonatal ophthalmia, making his first treatment on 25 November 1930, an adult and three babies.
Penicillins are antibiotics of the beta-lactam group widely employed in the treatment of infections caused by susceptible bacteria.

Electronic microscope

Electron microscope: It works by using electromagnetic waves. The "bombing" of electrons can obtain enlarged images of the sample, which are projected onto a screen like the televisor.El electron microscope can magnify the image of an object between 50,000 and 400,000 times
With the microscope we have discovered many things that have helped us to evolve such as Hames discovered enfermedadesque would be impossible to detect without the aid of a microscope. The first electron microscope was designed by Friedrich August Ernst Ruska and Max Knoll between 1925 and 1930.

Atomic bomb

An atomic bomb is a device that gets an enormous amount of energy from nuclear reactions. ts operation is based on cause uncontrolled nuclear chain reaction. It is among the so-called weapons of mass destruction and explosion produces a distinctive mushroom-shaped cloud. The atomic bomb was developed by the United States during World War II
Hydrogen bomb
Hydrogen bombs do what is the fusion (not fission) of light nuclei (hydrogen isotopes) in heavier nuclei.
The hydrogen bomb (hydrogen bomb), heat pump or pump thermonuclear fusion is based on obtaining the energy released when two atomic nuclei fuse, rather than the fission of the same.
Optical fiber
Optical fiber is a transmission medium commonly used in data networks, a very fine line of transparent material, glass or plastics, which are sent light pulses that represent data to be transmitted. The beam is completely contained and propagated by the fiber core with an angle of reflection above the critical angle of total reflection, according to Snell's law. The light source can be laser or LED.
Superconductors
Superconductivity is called the intrinsic ability to have certain materials to conduct electricity without resistance and energy loss in certain conditions.
The electrical resistivity of a metallic conductor decreases gradually as the temperature is lowered.

The resistance of a superconductor, however, drops sharply to zero when the material is cooled below its critical temperature.Superconductivity occurs in a variety of materials, including simple elements like tin and aluminum, various metallic alloys and some heavily doped semiconductors. Superconductivity does not occur in noble metals like gold and silver, nor in most ferromagnetic metals.

Spectrometer of mass
Spectrometry of masses is an experimental technique that allows measurement of product ions of molecules. The spectrometer of mass is an instrument that can accurately analyze the composition of different chemical elements and isotopes atomic nuclei separating according to their mass-charge (m / z). Can be used to identify the different chemical elements that form a compound, or to determine the isotopic content of different elements in the same compound.

  1. is very well done your research, you wrote very well, intoaccount good information. but in my opinion, you should have haver as a top 5 of the beneficial and destructive inventions that revolutionized the way we see the world.
but your work is very good, I reaffirm my taste as you ordered the information to make reading easier.
